The journal accepts essays, commentary, literature, personal experiences, and stories. Review methods are designed to suit the work, for example academic essays are double-blind peer reviewed and creative essays and commentaries are peer reviewed.

Maya America does not charge any APCs nor other author fees nor does it have any embargo on its articles.

Maya America applies a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International Public License (CC-BY-SA) to all published articles.
