Abstract
The development of a new series of N-heterocyclic thiones will be presented. Thiones have applications in many fields but also provides an alternate for generation of the free NHC. The synthetic design of these thiones allows for variability in the N-alkylation. These thiones have been characterized by 1H and 13C – NMR spectroscopy as well as elemental analysis.
