Aims & Scope

The first year of college is a pivotal time of transition, adjustment, and development. First-year students may negotiate a number of new experiences: independent living, self-directed learning, culturally diverse classrooms, increased co-curricular involvement, and vibrant new social scenes. The mission of this publication is to provide a forum for expressing these experiences, the lessons learned, and knowledge gained, as a way to celebrate students who have taken the first steps toward achieving their higher education goals.
