About This Journal

Founded in 2017 by the Department of First-Year and Transition Studies at Kennesaw State University, Navigations: A First-Year College Composite is a showcase for innovative work by first-year college students. We publish two issues per year, and accept submissions year-round in the following genres: creative non-fiction; drama; fiction; poetry; scholarship and research; visual art; and audio and video recordings. We especially welcome pieces that promote civic action and global engagement in the first-year.
