Maya America is an open access and peer reviewed journal that publishes academic papers, commentary, personal reflections, and creative works such as literature and poetry. The name "Maya America" refers to the traditional lands of the Maya plus the enhanced lands of contemporary Maya settlements. Thus the journal includes the United States and Canada as Maya homelands. In addition to Maya populations, we welcome essays on other topics and people of the Americas. The journal accepts submissions throughout the year.,
