Covid-19 Community Action
Abstract
Under the Covid19 restrictions of 2020, schools closed in Parramos, people had to stay at home, stores closed, the weekly market shut down and travel to nearby markets in the cities of Chimaltenango and Antigua was restricted. Many lost their jobs, and lost access to food supplies. With the help of the non-profit Caritas de Guatemala and some private donations, a group of community members collaborated to deliver supplies to local residents, particularly large families and the elderly.
