Author Bios

Katherine Rose Adams is an Associate Professor in the College of Education at the University of North Georgia. Katherine received her Ph.D. in Adult Education, where her focus was on community boundary spanners within university-community partnerships. She also obtained a M.Ed. in Human Resources/Occupational Development, a Post-Masters Certificate in Interdisciplinary Qualitative Research, and a B.S. in Psychology all from The University of Georgia. Dr. Adams has been working in higher education administration roles since 2005 prior to joining UNG in August 2018 as an assistant professor. Katherine became the Higher Education Leadership and Practice (HELP) program coordinator in 2019 and immediately began creating programing for graduate students such as a grant writing academy, peer mentoring program for adult learners, and program workshop series. Teaching in UNG’s first dissertation-based doctoral program, Katherine facilitates a diversity of higher education coursework, as well as is active in supporting the dissertation process through teaching seminars and chairing dissertation committees. In fall 2025, Katherine became the Assistant Director of the UNG Center for Teaching, Learning, and Leadership.
