Description
The fastest and most effective way for Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to manage resources efficiently is to transform through introducing information systems (IS). However, it has been argued by several authors that Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems do not usually fit the requirements of organizations in developing countries because of the different business practices, and legal and government regulations. Hence, this study sought to establish a framework for ERP integration in NGOs in Zimbabwe. Interviews and observations were used for data collection. A sample of 15 employees was chosen, using purposeful sampling, from 13 NGOs located in Harare. Results showed that ERP systems integration depends on various factors which were synthesised into the framework. The research concludes that integration largely differs between large and small organizations. This study urges management to ensure that there is technological literacy among all the workers.
