Abstract (300 words maximum)

Kennesaw State University has seen some low and inconsistent numbers among student attendance at sporting events. Event attendance can strong impact the growth of college programs and their reputations. In order to find a fix to this issue I researched how students perceive different things about KSU and how these tendencies can effect event attendance. I was able to collect this information through a survey of 58 KSU Sport management students. The results to this research show that a students’ perception of their education is related to their evaluation of athletics and event attendance. This leads us to believe that in order to increase event attendance we have to also increase how students feel about the school as a whole. Administrators at KSU will be able to use these findings to try to solve these problems and improve the academic and athletic experience for students.
