Description
In recent years, APA, MLA, ASA, and Chicago have all updated their citations manuals. While necessary and positive, these updates have the potential to create havoc on university campuses and significant confusion for students as departments and individual faculty take different approaches to incorporating these changes into their classes. In this poster, we will discuss how Librarians and Writing Centers are uniquely positioned as outside forces that, partnered together, can help negotiate the uniform adoption of these changes, as well as intervene and mediate in the case of potential inconsistencies in the implementation of new citation style guidelines.
