• Literary analysis (textual explication; short analysis; research essays) These submissions are normally between 500-5,000 words, double-spaced, where short analysis and explications range from 500-1,500 words and research essays from 2,000-5,000 words.
• Creative writing (poems, short stories, myths, etc.) Submit up to five poems in one document. Short fiction should not exceed 3,000 words.
• Multimodal (video, podcast, game design, etc.). There is no file size limit, but please use a wired connection to upload to avoid timeouts.
• Visual arts (paintings, drawings, photographs, infographics etc.) Please submit files with at least 600 dpi.

Submissions for each issue will be received during the calendar year and until March 1 of the following year. For example, a student enrolled in a General Education Literature course during the calendar year of 2023 can submit work from that class at any time during 2023 and up until March 1 of 2024. New issues will typically be published in late April or May of each year.

Presentation of Articles and Media

1. Title of the article (followed by subtitles if there are) (each may contain up to 120 characters)

2. Name and Surname of the author(s).

3. Abstract (which must contain from 50 - 200 words)

4. Keywords (from 4-7 words)

5. The text of the article will vary in word count depending on the category of your submission. Generally, short literary explications will range between 500-1,500 words. Research essays typically will contain from 2,000 - 5,000 words. Please contact the editors if you have questions.

6. Bibliography and References (which must not surpass 50 titles) must meet one of the following standards: MLA or APA.

7. Figures (which must be no more than 8, following the standard formats jpeg, gif, png) must have a resolution 300-600 dpi and can be included within the text of the article. Citations for images and figures are required.

8. Tables must be created in Excel format, in separate files, showing exactly where they will be placed, followed by the tables nomination.

9. Media submissions such as video or audio files should be uploaded using a wired connection for larger file sizes.

10. Visual art submissions (drawings, digital art, infographics, etc.) should have a resolution of at least 600 dpi.
    

Style Guide

1. Please follow U.S. spelling and punctuation conventions (i.e., labor, not labour; globalization, not globalisation.

2. Unless noted otherwise below, all content including text, abstracts, footnotes, appendices, and references, should have the following format:

• 12 point Times New Roman/Times font
• Double-spaced
• Six-inch lines/one-inch margins all around
• US Letter page size (8.5 X 11 in.) Left justified

3. Three headings are generally adequate to organize an article.

• First-Level: Centered, bold, capitalize first letter of each word.
• Second-Level: Left justify, bold, capitalize first letter of each word.
• Third-Level: left justify and indent; bold, italicize, and capitalize first letter of first word only, follow with a period, include as part of text.

4. Use footnotes only to explain material that cannot be justified for inclusion in text or tables. Number the notes consecutively, using Arabic numerals, beginning with footnote "1." Use your word processing program to insert footnotes.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

1. The Author retains copyright in the Work, where the term "Work" shall include all digital objects that may result in subsequent electronic publication or distribution.

2. Upon acceptance of the Work, the author shall grant to the Publisher the right of first publication of the Work.

If necessary, the author may be contacted by the editors to discuss substituting a licensed image for a similar Creative Commons image as a condition of publication.

7. The Author represents and warrants that:

• the Work is the Author's original work;
• the Author has not transferred, and will not transfer, exclusive rights in the Work to any third party;
• the Work is not pending review or under consideration by another publisher;
• the Work has not previously been published;
• the Work contains no misrepresentation or infringement of the Work or property of other authors or third parties; and
• the Work contains no libel, invasion of privacy, or other unlawful matter.

8.
