Philosophy of FUSION

Who Can Submit?

Only students enrolled in a Kennesaw State University General Education Literature course may submit work for consideration for publication. Only work created for a KSU General Education Literature course will be considered.

General Submission Rules

By submitting material to FUSION, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at FUSION. If you have concerns about the submission terms for FUSION, please contact the editors.

Formatting Requirements

FUSION requires APA or MLA style, if applicable to your submission. Please do not include headers, footers, page numbers, heading styles, or collapsible sections. See Author Guidelines for details.

Rights for Authors and DigitalCommons@Kennesaw State University

FUSION is an open-access publication. The Creative Commons Attribution License applies to all articles published in FUSION. Under this license the authors retain the copyright of their article, but allow others to reuse and copy the article provided the original authors and source are cited. On submission to FUSION authors are asked to agree to the author warranty given below, and to the terms of the open-access license.

Author Warrant

By agreeing to this declaration, you (the author) certify that:

  1. your contribution is your original work, has not been published before (in any language or medium) and is not being considered for publication elsewhere;

  1. that all authors concur with and are aware of the submission;

  1. that all workers involved in the study are listed as authors or given proper credit in the acknowledgements;

  1. that you have obtained permission for and acknowledged the source of any excerpts from other copyrighted works;

  1. and that to the best of your knowledge your paper contains no statements which are libelous, unlawful or in any way actionable. All coauthors have made significant scientific contributions to the work reported, including the ideas and their execution, and share responsibility and accountability for the results.

Open-Access License Agreement

You (the user) are free:

  • to copy, distribute, display and perform the work

  • to make derivative works under the follow conditions:

Attribution. You must give the original author credit.

  • For any reuse or distribution, it must be made clear to others what the license terms of this work are.

General Terms and Conditions of Use

Users of the DigitalCommons@Kennesaw State University website and/or software agree not to misuse the DigitalCommons@Kennesaw State University service or software in any way.

The failure of DigitalCommons@Kennesaw State University to exercise or enforce any right or provision in the policies or the Submission Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any term of the Submission Agreement or these policies is found to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of the Submission Agreement and these policies remain in full force and effect. These policies and the Submission Agreement constitute the entire agreement between DigitalCommons@Kennesaw State University and the Author(s) regarding submission of the Article.

Artifical Intelligence Policy

Ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) requires a disclosure about how AI was used in your submission. AI use does not disqualify you from publication, but FUSION publishes AI transparency statements with your work as a condition of your acceptance. Please select the statement that most closely matches your use of AI in this submission:

  • AI was not used for any part of this work.
  • AI was used in this work for one or more of the following: brainstorming, outlining, or providing research summaries.
  • AI was used in this work for drafting thesis statements, topic sentences, and/or paragraphs.
  • AI was used in this work for grammar and citation editing only.
  • AI was used in all phases of this work, including brainstorming, drafting, and editing.
