Abstract
The beginning of a young adult novel about a teenage girl who is in a car accident and discovers a latent ability to hear people's thoughts. The story begins with her being admitted to a mental health institution where she meets Isaac, another patient, and learns that strange and dangerous things are happening around her. With Isaac's help, she figures out how to control her ability. Together they work on solving strange deaths and disappearances among the patients and hospital personnel.
