About This Journal

The Emerging Writers publishes work completed by students in First-Year Composition courses at Kennesaw State University. Students in ENGL 1101 and 1102 engage in reflective, analytical, and creative forms of composition in the genres of academic research projects, short analysis essays, and creative nonfiction. Emerging Writers showcases how these students emerge as new writers at the university level by learning to deploy a variety of rhetorical strategies and techniques with excellence.
