Description of Work

Architecture has long been a practice that creates things to stand. However, The elements that determine the lifespan of a building are still debated. Architects have studied materials, construction, and the like. The three principles that guarantee a building's long life are a building's function, maintenance, and cultural significance. Through my research of the Clark Library Building in Marietta, GA, I found that these three principles of function, maintenance, and cultural significance may give a basis to guess how to extend a building long past its predicted lifespan.
