Description of Work
This paper seeks to explain the differences in design, structure, and layout of First Baptist Church of Marietta and contemporary American baptist churches. This can be found in similar style scattered across the southeast. To give more context the First Baptist Church of Marietta is a historical church located just outside Marietta square, despite having many additions and renovations over the years the church still maintains a more romanesque style in design and layout for utilizing the building.
