Abstract (300 words maximum)

Minecraft is a popular sandbox video game that allows players to create and build in a virtual world made up of blocks. With its open-ended gameplay and vast creative potential, Minecraft has become a platform for various types of digital art and architecture. Can we make use of machine learning to make a real-world environment in Minecraft? In this presentation, we develop an algorithm that automatically builds a picture in Minecraft. The algorithm uses machine learning to convert the picture into a data sheet. Then a Minecraft automation library is used to convert the datasheet into a picture in Minecraft. Our presentation will go into further detail on the specifics of how this algorithm works, and the challenges we faced when building the algorithm.
