Coordinated by Dr. Ernesto Silva and presented by KSU's Latin American & Latinx Studies program, Department of Interdisciplinary Studies.
The Transnational Cinema Series explores the questions:
What is a border? What is a nation?
What does it mean to be a member of a nation?
What does it mean to exist on one side of a political border between two nations?
What does it mean to traverse that
border?
Where do these borders come from?
Are borders natural or constructed? Are they immutable or fluid?
During the Transnational Cinema Series, films are presented and discussed, exploring how they contribute to our understanding of borders and border crossing. This collection holds discussion recordings, flyers, and photos from past Transnational Cinema Series.
