2017 Mixed Chamber Music Recital

Kennesaw State University School of Music students perform in a variety of chamber ensembles for various groupings of instruments.
Gospel Choir

Led by Professor Emeritus Dr. Oral Moses, the KSU Gospel Choir features members from across the university and community who come together to perform sacred music ranging from traditional spirituals to gospel favorites in various styles.

KSU Opera Theater presents, "Speed Dating TONIGHT!"

KSU Opera Theater presents a one-act comic opera, Speed Dating Tonight!, set in present-day USA. With words and music by Michael Ching, this story of an evening at the Night Owl Café with seekers of romance and a good time may surprise you! It’s tender, witty, full of character and fabulous melodies. Sign-up, sit down, the bell rings, you go ‘round!
Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Peter & the Wolf and Friends

The Atlanta Symphoy Orchestra performs a special family program featuring Prokofiev’s classic children's symphony, Peter and the Wolf, and other fun songs! Kids will learn about the instruments of the orchestra in this family-friendly performance and puppeteers will join the orchestra to bring the characters to life!

This special performance of the 2017 Kennesaw State Festival of New Music (KSFNM) features KSU faculty performing Igor Stravinsky's L'Histoire du soldat (The Soldier's Tale) followed by The Devil's Tale, James M. Stephenson's sequel to Stravinsky's esteemed work.

Atlanta Chamber Players, "Music of Norway"

Efe Baltacigil, David Coucheron, Helen Hwaya Kim, Julie Coucheron, and Elizabeth Pridgen

The Atlanta Chamber Players return to KSU joined by a special guest artist, cellist Efe Baltacigil. Hailing from Turkey, Baltacigil is currently the Principal Cellist of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and a member artist of the prestigious Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. ASO Concertmaster David Coucheron and his sister, pianist Julie Coucheron, will perform works composed in their native land of Norway. Violinist Helen Hwaya Kim and pianist Elizabeth Pridgen will also perform at this concert.
