    Robert Henry

    This faculty recital features KSU faculty pianist, Robert Henry. Dr. Henry is an internationally distinguished pianist who regularly performs throughout the world as orchestral soloist, recitalist, chamber musician, and recording artist. Since winning first prize in four international piano competitions, he has presented solo debuts at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Wigmore Hall. The Washington Post praised Dr. Henry's "dazzling ability to turn the percussion instrument into a sonorous orchestra… stratospheric sounds… rumbling earthiness… [with] colorful, virtuosic, sensitive playing…"

    Please join us for an evening of choral masterworks presented by KSU choral ensembles. The evening will feature performances by the KSU Chamber Choir, led by Interim Director of the School of Music and Director of Choral Activities Dr. Leslie J. Blackwell, as well as the University Chorale and Men's Ensemble, both led by Dr. Reid Masters. The Chamber Singers will be giving a preview of their performance at the 2020 ACDA Southern Division Conference.

They are joined by guest composer Roger Zare, whose piece "Ocean of Undiscovered Truth" will be performed by KSU Faculty Member and Principal Oboe of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Elizabeth Koch Tiscione.

    An exciting highlight each season, Collage is the signature production of the School of Music and a major fundraising event for supporting scholarships for music students. This special performance features over 200 student and faculty performers and includes jazz, orchestra, choir, band, percussion, and opera selections for soloists, chamber groups, and ensembles. Special lighting effects and stage design combine with the diverse and exciting program presented as rapid-fire, flowing vignettes to create a truly unique performance.

We are in the third year of presenting our talented vocal artists in a gala evening of beautiful song, beloved duets, and memorable ensembles. We are proud of our singers and the work they have done. Our voice faculty is a stellar group of artists and educators who are dedicated to each and every one of our singers.     Two special concerts which take place as part of the Trumpet Festival of the Southeast at Kennesaw State University. On Friday, January 31, The KSU Faculty Jazz Parliament welcome guest trumpeter Melvin Jones for a concert. On Saturday, February 1, The TFSE Finale Gala concert will include the Georgia Brass Band and KSU Wind Ensemble, who will be joined by trumpeters Jose Sibaja, Melvin Jones, Brian Shaw, Doug Lindsey, and Ryan Moser.
