This recital is presented in partial fulfillment of requirements for the degree Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Ms. Swanson and Ms. Reed study voice with Nathan Munson.
Classical Guitar & Jazz Guitar Ensemble

KSU School of Music presents Classical Guitar featuring Aldo Cardenas with Ruth Bearden, flute. Jazz Guitar Ensemble is directed by Senior Lecturer of Jazz Studies and Jazz Guitar, Trey Wright.
Mixed Chamber Ensembles

This performance features students performing a variety of chamber works for various groupings of instruments.
2017-18 Concerto Competition Final Round

The 2017 Concerto Competition culminates in this performance featuring students competing to perform as a featured soloist with the KSU Symphony Orchestra or KSU Wind Ensemble in Spring 2018.
Brass Ensembles Showcase

This performance features KSU brass ensembles led by Douglas Lindsey, Jason Eklund, Richard Williams, and Paul Dickinson.
Jazz Combos

Performances at 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm featuring KSU Jazz Combos, directed by Trey Wright, Justin Chesarek, Tyrone Jackson and Marc Miller. These performances will be held in the Onyx Theater.

Mirari Brass Quintet, "Renewed, Reused, Recycled"

Alex Noppe, Matt Vangjel, Jesse Thoman, Sarah Paradis, and Stephanie Frye

Performing a wide wariety of works from Renaissance music to Charles Mingus, the Mirari Brass Quintet delight and inspire with their engaging and eclectic style of performance and bring a spirit of joyful collaboration and innovation to music spanning many centuries and genres. The commissioners of multiple new works for brass, the group performs a spectacular tight-rope act balancing intensity with levity and refined virtuosity with pure fun.
