Abstract
Ordinary and Out of Reach is a collection of poems that explores memory, grief, prospective motherhood, marriage, and the necessary violence and care that accompany taking up space on earth. Divided into three sections, the collection follows a speaker who begins by retrospectively examining her unconventional upbringing, then moves chronologically forward through her life, remaining in intimate conversation with the formative experiences of her childhood.
