Abstract

In light of newly released archival resources, this article examines the traditional historiography of Soviet-American relations focusing on economic relations at the end of World War II.

Dr. Kristina V. Minkova is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of American Studies, St. Petersburg State University. She has a Ph.D. in the History of International Relations and a Master’s degree in Regional Studies. The primary research interests include: international trade as a highly influential aspect of world politics, the Soviet-American relations in the early post-war years, and different aspects of Canadian Studies.
