Dean of Libraries Lorene Flanders and her husband Paul Campbell (left) hosted a brunch for Terry and Tommie Duncan Kay prior to his talk at the University of West Georgia. The Kays graduated from West Georgia College in 1957. Fellow classmate Lee Walburn who Kay credits with convincing him to write his 1990 novel To Dance With the White Dog was among the guests. Campbell presented Kay with a ceramic bowl he crafted commemorating the fishing theme in Kay’s 2003 novel The Valley of Light.
