Abstract
Forsyth County Public Library has gone through an in-depth process to formulate a Strategic Plan for 2013 – 2018. Besides environmental scanning, the library’s Management Team decided that the best way to hear the voice of the community – where residents wanted their library to be in five years -- was to set up interviews and focus groups with stakeholders. Participants included all staff, civic leaders, non-profit organizations, local government, and the Library Trustees. The outcome of the focus groups was beyond expectations and resulted in an exciting new Strategic Plan.
