Abstract

The author reflects on the history and condition of the Friends of Libraries Movement in Georgia. The author mentions that the state has nearly 200 groups that advocates library use and reading. The author also reflects on the effect of the current economic crisis on library use in the country. The author cites an example of fund raising activities and community awareness programs of library advocates in the country.
