Abstract

Health and physical educators (HPE) regularly face burnout, isolation, and stress. Post-pandemic changes exacerbated these issues, necessitating additional support for prevention and management. To help address these issues, the System of Wellness Instruction for Teachers & Teens (SWIFTT) platform was co-created with HPE professionals to provide relevant, contextual connections, resources, and supports for use by HPE professionals to enhance their own wellness and personal and professional growth. Pilot data identified four useful resources (mindfulness, social-emotional learning, wellness tips, and podcasts) and four improvement areas (system navigation, defining target audience, additional burnout resources, and student resources). Overall, SWIFTT was well received and can serve as a support for HPE professionals to address burnout, isolation, and stress as well as enhance resilience, equity, and well-being.
