Abstract

Teachers and trainers of conflict resolution are heirs - if often unwitting ones - to a rich legacy in education; not just any education, but a tradition of furthering democracy within learning environments and throughout society. Whether in an elementary school classroom or graduate school seminar, a prison cafeteria or church basement, a corporate boardroom or community center gymnasium, conflict resolution education continues this tradition.
