Abstract
The article discusses the 2011 Annual Meeting of the National Council on Public History (NCPH), held in Pensacola, Florida in April 2011, with specific focus given to the NCPH Community Service Project at Fort Pickens. The project was undertaken to help the U.S. National Park Service and its land-management operations around Pensacola. Volunteers helped to clean the fort and its embankments.
