Abstract
The article discusses the use of mysteries and detective stories with technical vocabulary for geometry lessons in mathematics class in the U.S. middle school. Novels which mention mathematical language include "Flatland: A romance of Many Dimensions," "The Da Vinci Code," and "Crimes and Mathdemeanors."
