Abstract
The article presents a survey concerning the enzymatic activity in pool and spa products. This study is sponsored by the National Swimming Pool Foundation which uses enzymes known as lipase to breakdown pool contaminants that aid in filtering and reducing film or formation of water impurities. This further applies colorimetric assay to measure the activity of enzymes in commercially available pool products.
