Abstract
Choking is a common response to competitive stress. According to Nideffer and Sagal (20), athletes choke when their performance seems to be progressively deteriorating and when they seem incapable of regaining control over their performance. In a practical setting, many athletes may have great talent with excellent skills, but they cannot achieve peak performance during competition due to choking. Inability to cope with competitive anxiety has become a critical issue that significantly affects athletes’ performance and psychological wellbeing
