Abstract
The article stresses that students will see a different mathematics if they are urged to think about the subject more deeply and flexibly. The author explains that when middle school mathematics teachers are strategically providing mathematics problems, the students are given the opportunity. For this reason, it is believed that students will understand a different mathematics, which is identified in the Learning Principle of "Principles and Standards for School Mathematics."
