Description of Assignment
Individual Research Paper (minimum of 2,000 words): Using all of your resources, you will complete your contribution to the anthology, a research paper that contributes to the conversation of the topic you selected. You will compose this final paper through a series of drafts shared with me and your group for feedback and editing. Draft 1 will be presented to me for initial feedback on whether the topic contributes to the conversation, is organized in an understandable way, and is using high-quality sources. Draft 2 will be reviewed for word choice and grammar choices both by yourself through self-editing techniques and with your group.
Group Collaboration – Introduction for Anthology for Public Dissemination (500 additional words): As a group, you must prepare the research papers for consumption by the public. As a group you will choose to either publish the essays on Digital Commons or a website, or your group can choose to present the papers in a face-to-face presentation. Regardless of what the group chooses, your group will need to compose a 500-word introduction as well as paginate/design the content or convert the essays into a script. If your group chooses a face-to-face presentation, you are expected to give the presentation to an audience of my choosing. Other options which would be available with my approval – a podcast, a YouTube video, or conference submission.
