Abstract
A thesis submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Education in the Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education in the Bagwell College of Education of Kennesaw State University. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a parent-focused literacy program on parents' levels of involvement with their children. A parent-focused program was defined as one in which parental needs and concerns were addressed. In this study a program was developed through collaboration with parent and teacher input.
