Description

Data generated from a Protokinetics Zeno Pressure Transducer processed using PKMAS4 during crawling of a single infant at four time periods: baseline, with a long leg soft cast on the left leg, 1 day following cast removal, and 2 weeks following cast removal.

Methodology

Crawling was assessed using a 4.9m x 0.6m Zeno pressure transducer mat (ProtoKinetics, Havertown, PA). The mat incorporates a distributed array of 1 cm2 force sensors that output 16 levels of pressure. PKMAS4 software, originally designed for animal-based studies of quadrupedal gait, was used for data collection and reduction. Points of contact were manually labeled as right or left arm or leg.
