Description
Alzheimer disease is common disease in people aged above 65 or older. In current medical technology, Alzheimer does not have any cure. In Alzheimer disease, Patient lose their memory and many other brain functions. In extreme condition with Alzheimer disease, patient’s brain become small in size compared to normal person. This disease can cause of death of patient. Doctors have not able to find cause of this disease yet but it can be treated so that patient with Alzheimer disease can stop growth of disease and live longer. To treat Alzheimer disease, it is important that it get detect in its early stage, which is called Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). MCI is very early stage of Alzheimer disease. Patient with MCI can be transfer into Alzheimer disease. If patient diagnosed in MCI stage, then there is a chance that it cannot be transfer into Alzheimer disease. Current diagnoses of Alzheimer disease are very old style. It includes asking question to patient and their family members and taking written and oral tests like memory quiz, problem solving, etc. My approach to Alzheimer diagnosis is to use MRI image of brain with image processing techniques to detect the disease.
