Description of Work
Piazza Della Signoria has long been viewed as a very successful public square, holding up through many centuries, changes of culture, and to locals and visitors alike. In contrast, Marietta Square, while very much loved, is arguably not as successful at pulling people in and being an iconic space outside of the local residents. This paper will analyze the successful and unsuccessful features of both, and explore the options to improve new public spaces.
