Abstract
Inflation has captured Gamma Theta Upsilon -and you did not even know you were under siege. A close examination of Volume 9 will show several changes designed to cut out costs. If our subscription/income were higher, some problems could be eliminated. We do have a supply of Volumes 1-8 which are sitting, waiting, anticipating to be read. Your new G.T.U. initiates will receive Volume 9 and 10 as part of their fees. Page 48 explains how they can get complete sets of The Geographical Bulletin. The cost to them is well below production costs-about 50%-and is a minor amount to get them into the habit of subscribing to and owning the professional journals of geography, the Annals, The Journal of Geography, The Geographical Review as but three other examples. It is not our purpose or mission to review new contributions in geography, but one has arrived which deserves attention -Atlas of Atlanta, the 1970's, by Malcolm A. Murray of Georgia State University. The Atlas was published by The University of Alabama Press, University, Alabama 35486. The cost is $3.45. The following are segments of the University of Alabama press release.
