Abstract
GEORGE S. CORFIELD-1896-1971 George Sibley Corfield, late National President of Gamma Theta Upsilon, passed away in May, 1971. He served as Head, Geography and Geology Department, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln, Nebraska, from 1954 until his demise. Born in Cato, New York in 1896, he attended high school there and began his teaching in Port Bryon. He then graduated from Oswego State Teachers College. He studied at Syracuse University and Cornell University. He was awarded a B.A. and a M.A. degree from Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts, where he accomplished an additional year of graduate work.
