Abstract
INTRODUCTION The cities of Dallas and Monmouth, Oregon have been selected as sites for a study of community values. By reviewing the zoning regulations in each town students can begin learning about often unspoken values in a community. In addition a series of maps of Dallas and Monmouth are employed by the students in order to accomplish specific tasks that demonstrate some community values.
