Abstract
The message in this issue is directed to my teaching colleagues, but it is also appropriate for the student body. My topic pertains to enrichment and overall maturity of our students beyond the subject matter in our geographic specialities. From a student perspective the contents of this editorial applies to those majoring in any educational pursuit. Specifically I am concerned about the development of writing and oratory skills, as well as personal and character growth. This is predicated on the assumption that college graduates should be expected to attain some level of leadership and consequently should have mastered the knowledge, skills, and qualities expected of a person who expects upward mobility
