Abstract
One of the responsibilities of a professional- any professional- is to support his profession 's societies and organizations. You have several which call for your best efforts. Not only do these organizations need your best work, but they also offer many things to you which will be of value in your profession. The first of these groups is Gamma Theta Upsilon. It has you as a member. It prospers as you put your efforts into the growth of your local chapter. Local chapters maintain the vitality of the International organization. We are growing stronger because more and more professionals are doing their best for Gamma Theta Upsilon. If you are preparing to teach, there will be the state education association and N. E.A. which will benefit from your participation and effort. Similarly, the National Council for the Social Studies will be worthy of your consideration.
