Abstract
The typical freshman seems to understand what geography is, even though his academic exposure on the pre-college level has often been distressingly limited. It seems quite easy for a good college instructor to attract superior students into the discipline by revealing the latitude of geography and its multiple relationships to the totality of contemporary human knowledge
