Abstract
W ith this issue Gamma Theta Upsilon initiates the publication of its periodical, Th e Geographical Bulletin. It is with great anticipation that we set forth on this venture. Our aim is to supply an outlet for undergraduate and graduate students who normally do not have publication avenues easily accessible. We intend to give the highest priority to student publications for we feel they deserve space, and we further feel that they have things to offer which will be of value to the profession of geography. It is the editorial policy of The Geographical Bulletin to publish those things which would span the entire spectrum of geographic research . However, this issue represents, in a sense, a special issue with one or two types of papers that normally will not appear in subsequent issues. Gamma Theta Upsilon was founded in 1928 at Illinois State Normal University. The following is taken from the Gamma Theta Upsilon Handbook. " Gamma Theta Upsilon owes its origin to the vision of Dr. Robert G. Buzzard, who later was to be a college president.
