Abstract

This paper sets out to answer the following research questions:

  1. How can instructors take students’ current digital literacy knowledge and work them into a curriculum designed to help them build their digital information skills?
  2. How can instructors teach digital information in a way that gives students the ability to adapt their skills into different environments and growing technologies to better prepare them for the workplace?

By looking at the current state of student research and comparing techniques to professional writing situations by looking at skills, such as communication and critical thinking, that employers want the most.
