Interim Chair: Dr. Pinder Naidu

Our multidisciplinary department offers the Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies and an academic certificate in Leadership Studies. Integrative Studies degree seeking students work with faculty and advisers to design a program of study that meets their academic and career goals. Through the program of study, students acquire relevant disciplinary knowledge and learn approaches to integrating disciplinary perspectives in order to more effectively address contemporary political, social, scientific, and humanitarian questions.

The certificate in Leadership Studies (LDRS) equips learners from all academic programs to unearth their leadership capacity through courses focused on the study and practice of leadership. The course of study provides a historical and theoretical foundation of leadership designed to add value to a learner’s curricular and co-curricular experiences while preparing for effective engagement in personal, professional, cultural, and societal contexts. The certificate is a 15 hour credit course of study for currently enrolled degree seeking undergraduate students.
