The mission of the Department of Instructional Technology is to advance the effective use of technology to support teaching, learning, and leadership in P-12 schools through educator preparation, professional service, and research.


The Department of Instructional Technology will be internationally-recognized for innovative teaching and learning; relevant research to advance the use of instructional technologies in P-12 schools; collaborative partnerships to strengthen technology integration in all educator preparation programs; and well-prepared graduates who transform schools into digital age learning environments that engage students and facilitate participation in our global community.

The Instructional Technology Department is pleased to offer a wide range of degree, endorsement, and certificate programs. Degree programs include an M.Ed., Ed.S., and Ed.D. in Instructional Technology. An endorsement and graduate certificate program is available in online teaching.
