The Honors College offers academically talented, highly motivated students who enjoy lively discussion, creative expression, and intellectual challenge, a community within a university. We offer small honors sections of core courses and interdisciplinary honors seminars, where students will be able to focus on deep understanding within an innovative curriculum. We also provide unique opportunities for students, including community service activities, undergraduate research, and domestic as well as international travel experiences. The Honors College is truly your gateway to excellence.
Currently, students in the Undergraduate Honors Program may choose from three options, the Great Books cohort, the President's Emerging Global Scholars cohort or the Custom Honors program. Each of these programs offers unique opportunities for students including community service activities, undergraduate research, and domestic as well as international travel experiences. New and exciting opportunities are under development. These include scholarships specifically for Honors students, expanded Honors housing with dedicated study and meeting space, discipline-specific (departmental) Honors programs, a lunch and learn series, and new education abroad opportunities, all designed to enhance your educational experience.
