Virtually all of today's business operations include various forms of business alliances. They range from agreements or contracts with vendors and customers to complex joint ventures with other businesses. Common joint ventures include collaborative product development; purchasing of component products or product technology from others; enabling of collateral customer services; and joint product marketing.
